Bruce believes that it doesn't matter whether you wear "breeches" or a cowboy hat: every horse needs the same foundation.  Every horse needs to follow a "feel" and be soft as "butter".  You should have a willing partner, not one who responds out of fear and intimidation.  And that partnership should be a ratio of 60/40 , the horse being the 40%.  you need to be a leader not a passenger, and never have to "sneak" another ride again!

Bruce Hall practices Natural Horse Training with respect for the horse in mind.  His horse experience spans over 20 years.  He learned through experience that there must be a better way of working with these wonderful creatures that mother nature gave us.  He studied Bill and Tom Dorrance, Marty Marten, and Ray Hunt.  He's worked on ranches with old timers who had a lot of horse sense and knowledge to offer.  He sat hours upon hours watching the best teachers of all, the horses themselves.

He watched them as they played, and wandered together as a herd.  He watched them eat together and sleep together.  The knowledge that he has gained by working with hundreds of horses, and the natural ability that he has to read horse body language, and a good sense of feel and timing, make Bruce a great horseman and teacher.  He will tell you that he has a long long way to go before he can compare himself to the likes of the Bill Dorrances out there.. 

He would tell you that every horse he works with teaches him something new or different.  He feels there will never be a day where he has finally learned all there is to know.  The minute you start thinking that way, sure enough there will be that next horse that puts you in your place, and humbles you a whole lot.
